MacZOT, a new online reseller opened its doors today, according to a statement released by the company. The new store's twist is that it offers only one item at a time, for one day only. The goal, says the company, is to create a software shopping experience with incentive. "Buy now before the deal disappears." Customers can download a heavily discounted application, according to the company. "Visitors to the site can feel confident that if they download and try that day's software enough to like it, they can register it through MacZOT before the day is over."
"We’ve partnered with many of the top developers to create a fun atmosphere for discovering rare deals." says MacZOT founder Brian Ball. "We're not as much a reseller as a promoter. We work hard to promote a focused offering by getting the developers involved more than other reseller channels. We hope to also create a stronger connection to the source of great software and build a community that helps inform others."
MacZOT's inaugural item is the Mail.app-enhancing utlity DockStar, offered at $5.95. The program is regularly priced at $8.
