Aperture, Apple's "digital darkroom," has been updated as a Universal Binary, according to the company. In addition, Apple has cut the application's price by $200, and is offering the update for free to "early adopters," who also get a $200 coupon good at the Apple Store. Version 1.1 also improves RAW image rendering, adds advanced RAW adjustment controls and is up to four times faster on a MacBook Pro than the previous version was on a PowerBook, according to Apple.
The application adds advanced export controls, support for more camera and contains "dozens" of performance enhancements.
