Target employee says 20GB iPod minis, 60GB iPods coming next month

A Target employee told customers today that iPod minis with a 20GB capacity would be available in store by the end of October. "They're working on them now and we're just waiting for them to come in," he told shoppers, adding that iPods would be bumped up to 60-gig capacities. No information on pricing was available. As of this posting, neither Target nor Apple have responded to our requests for clarification.

[Editor's Note: We are highly skeptical that Apple will introduce a 20GB iPod mini so soon. Nevertheless, while it's possible that our source has been misinformed, there was no abiguity in what he was saying, and it would be bad business to turn away paying customers by intentionally misleading them. We will continue in our attempts to get clarification from either Apple or Target.]
